A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter quarter repeater pocket watch, circa 1850. This watch has a mechanical crown-wound manual movement with a lever escapement, jewelled pallets, and a repeating mechanism striking the hours and quarters. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and rose gold spade hands. The timepiece is housed in an 18 carat yellow gold full hunter case decorated with moss guilloché engraving, featuring a polished hinged front cover, a metal inner cover, a fluted winding crown, and a round suspension bow.
