A fine and elegant Swiss, 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set pocket watch, circa 1785. The Pearl Star by Moricand & Compagnie, Geneva. Split pearl-set bezels, the blue guilloché enamelled back panel centred with a split pearl-inlaid rosette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer dot minute markers and Arabic quarter-hour numerals. Elaborate gold pierced hands. A hinged gilt brass movement, Hessen flat calibre with going barrel, cylinder escapement with plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed.
