A fine and rare Swiss 18K pink gold five minute repeating hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1885. Made for Tiffany & Co., New York. A polished case with reeded edges and a hinged gold cuvette with engraved presentation inscription. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds with red Arabic numerals and gold Louis XVI hands. A rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding wheels, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometre regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Movement, cuvette and case signed, dial signed Tiffany & Co.
