A rare and thin French, 18 carat yellow gold keyless dress watch, circa 1920. A polished case, the back with a central black champleve enamel monogram, triangular bow. Matte silver dial with radial engine turning, radial Roman numerals on an inner chapter ring, outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals and blued steel halberd hands. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, case and movement signed European Watch and Clock Co.
