Gold enamel verge pocket watch

A very fine Swiss diamond and half pearl-set gold enamel verge pocket watch, circa 1800. The case is made of 18K gold and features a magnificent translucent cobalt blue enamelling on an engine-turned base on the reverse side. It has an applied central diamond-set Star of David with a large diamond in the centre and a half pearl-set edging and bezel. The dial is enamel and displays radial Roman numerals and Breguet hands. The movement is a full plate, keywind, fire gilt, with a chain/fusee mechanism. It has solid round movement pillars, a verge escapement, a three-arm brass balance, and a very finely engraved pierced balance bridge.
