A fine 18 Carat gold painted on enamel and paste set pocket watch, made in Switzerland, circa 1800. Two body, Directoire style and polished case, its back cover with a painted on enamel scene of Aurora being drawn through the clouds in her chariot by two horses, the chariot highlighted by paste stones, royal blue background and a hinged and sprung matte gilt dust cover.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. Matte gilt and full plate movement with fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock with polished steel endplate and a rack and pinion regulator with silvered scale.
Case, dust cover and movement numbered.
