An elegant Swiss gold and enamel open faced cylinder gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1800. Frosted gilt full plate movement, hand-engraved with foliage decor, keywind, polished screws, lavishly florally engraved going barrel, three-arm steel balance, blued balance spring, engraved regulator scale. Engine-turned case back covered with cobalt blue translucent enamel with an en grisaille depiction of a galant scene, florally decorated border on both sides. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and gold poker & beetle hands.
