A decorative half-pearl-set gold enamel verge pocket watch with date, circa 1800. 18k pink gold case, the back cover with a glazed enamel medallion depicting Venus and Cupido within a half pearl set border. Dial is enamel, Arabic numerals, outer date ring with red Arabic numerals, snake hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, chain/fusee, blued screws, solid movement pillars, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved, pierced balance cock with birds, large silver regulator disc.
