A fine large and thin 18 Carat gold painted on enamel and pearl set pocket watch. Made by Breguet in Paris Circa 1800. Two body case the back set with a painted on enamel scene of a shepherd and shepherdess in a glade against a royal blue translucent enamel background with a gold paillon border, the outer rim inset with gold filigree intersected by pearls and the bezel decorated to match.
White enamel dial with upright Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and Arabic quarter hour numerals, winding aperture at 2 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. Matte gilt half plate movement with further half plate bridge to secure the barrel, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental pierced and engraved cock and an index regulator.
Dial and movement signed.
