A Swiss 18K yellow gold quarter repeating hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1885. Accompanied by the original fitted box. Movement by G. Hoff & Fils, La Choux-de-Fond. A solid, polished, bassine, entire case lavishly engraved and decorated in a floral and leaf pattern, hinged finely engraved gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track with five-minute red Arabic markers and gold Louis XIV hands. Rhodium-plated movement, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide in the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
