A fine and charming, small, silver, painted on enamel, centre seconds, lady’s pendant watch, circa 1800. Silver case with a beautiful portrait of a lady in period costume on the back cover against an engine turned and translucent cobalt blue enamelled ground. Enamel dial with inlaid gold decor, Roman radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic fifteen minutes/seconds numerals, centre seconds and blued spade hands. Frosted gilt brass, Chinese bridge movement with a standing barrel, screw compensation balance, finely florally engraved balance cock and side lever escapement.
