A rare Swiss quarter repeating hunting cased pocket watch with 2 Jacquemarts, circa 1885.
14 carat gold engine turned case with engraved cartouche in the centre, engraved and numbered gold dome, slide for repeater and glazed movement. Gold “à quatre couleurs” dial with floral decoration, central enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, screwed on polychrome enamel figures of two maidens striking the bell and Louis XVI hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, with polished screws, 2 hammers /2 gongs, screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
