Pocket watch in the style of Hahn with 24h dial
–
An extremely rare astronomical pocket watch in the style of Hahn with 24h dial, probably made in Switzerland, circa 1780. The open faced case of this watch, which is crafted from silver, has gold rims, a coined band and a plain back. The exceptionally large white enamel dial has Arabic fifteen minute- and Roman 24 hour numerals with day and night indication and date at 3 o’clock, day and corresponding regent at 9 o’clock, moon phase at 6 o’clock and seconds at 12 o’clock indication and exceptionally beautiful hands. The movement has a verge escapement.
