A Swiss verge in a 18 carat gold and enamel pair cases, circa 1760. Full plate fire gilt movement. Pierced and engraved masked cock, garnet endstone, silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with ratchet and click barrel set-up between the plates. Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Signed white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative stone set white metal hands, gold inner case, gold pendant and bow. Gold outer and inner case, front bezel set with a row of white stones. The back with a large oval miniature of a young lady in classical dressed. Around this, a border of dark blue translucent enamel overlaid with stones in a pierced white metal setting.
