A Schaffhausen pocket watch with digital indication “System Pallweber”, circa 1885.
This “digital” watch has an 18 carat gold case and engine turned. The dial is white enamel with window for hours and minutes and subsidiary dial for the seconds. It also has a bridge movement, a “Pallweber” jumping numerals mechanism and a screw compensation balance.
