A special Swiss, 18K gold and enamel scallop shell form pendant watch with a concealed dial, circa 1800. In a shell-shaped case, a spring-loaded front cover reveals the dial, both sides identically decorated with blue and green enamel, a missing hinge bar, and a fixed suspension ring. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel feuille hands. A hinged, gilt brass, full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial.
