Gold pivot detent chronometer

A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced chronometer pocket watch with day and date indication made by Henry Capt in Geneva, circa 1860. Gilded bar movement with a pivoted detent chronometer escapement and bimetallic compensation balance. The cuvette engraved with technical details. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, the date at 4 o’clock, days of the week at 8 and blued spade hands. An engine turned case back, plain bezels, pendant and bow, a ribbed band and two apertures for winding and hand setting. Dial and movement signed, case numbered, cuvette signed and numbered.
