This watch is an excellent example of the high-quality English watchmakers were producing before the First World War. The dial demonstrates continued creativity and the ability to produce attractive designs. The movement was supplied by Nicole Nielsen & Co and based on an ebauche supplied by Joseph Preston & Sons, Prescot, Lancashire. Nicole Nielsen was closely associated with Frodsham’s during the first part of the 20th Century.
