A Swiss 18 carat pink gold quarter repeating keyless pocket watch, circa 1885. A solid, polished case, hinged gold cuvette with engraved dedication. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds and gold Louis XV hands. Matte gilt movement, 25 jewels, counterpoised straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case and movement signed.
