Gilded lady’s pendant watch

A fine and charming, small Swiss silver gilt, enamel and pearl set center seconds lady’s pendant watch made for the Chinese market., circa 1860. The Flower Gatherers by Bovet. An Empire case, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene depicting a boy and girl with baskets of flowers in a wooded clearing, the bezels, pendant and bow set with split pearls. Hinged gilt rimmed glazed cuvette.

White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions and gold spade hands. A frosted gilt brass movement, Chinese bridge caliber, jewelled, standing barrel, cylinder escapement, frosted gilt three arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed, the inside of the back cover is signed in Chinese characters.
