Gold enamel open faced cylinder watch

A fine Swiss gold, blue enamel, and diamond set open faced key winding lady’s pendant watch made by Vacheron & Constantin, circa 1860. It has a mechanical key wound movement, signed Vacheron & Constantin, with a cylinder escapement. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, and Breguet style hands. It is housed in a small, round, solid gold, open faced case with a reverse back cover finished in translucent royal blue enamel over a finely guilloché sunburst pattern. The cover is intricately decorated with a central floral rosette set with diamonds and an outer chased gold floral border. The watch also features a delicately engraved caseband, a spherical pendant, and a solid gold inner protective cuvette.
