A important, heavy “Three Bridge Tourbillon” with finely made gold chain, circa 1885.
18k rose gold case, monogram “CPG”, lavishly florally engraved and engine turned gold dome, “Chronometre Tourbillon. Bulletin d’Observatoire de 1re classe, Girard Perregaux, Chaux de Fonds”, numbered and signed on both inner lids.
Enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, signed “Gabriel Labarrière”, gold Breguet hands. Three bridge movement, rhodium plated, decorated, mirror polished pink gold train, screwed gold chaton, mirror polished pink gold bridges, pivoted detent chronometer escapement, gold screw compensation balance with gold and platinum regulation screws, finest mirror polished tourbillon steel cage, fine adjusting device, “anti galop” feature.
