Gold dual time quarter repeater by Patek Philippe

A rare Swiss yellow gold hunting cased quarter repeating dual time pocket watch, circa 1874. Made for the Turkish market. The watch boasts an 18″ ligne jewelled movement with a lever escapement. It features a white enamel dial, single sunk, with a minute outer ring adorned with Ottoman Turkish alphabet indices and a central auxiliary dial for a second time zone indicated with Turkish numerals. The engine turned case is crafted from 18 carat yellow gold with an inscribed cuvette and hinged covers engraved with monograms beneath the arms of the Egyptian Royal Family. It is accompanied by the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming the date of sale as 20th July 1875 and highlighting Turkish numerals. Both the case and cuvette are signed.

Quarter repeating in phase. Movement is functioning well with minor wear to the finish of the bridges. The movement is running. The case is in excellent condition, with minor rubbing to the edges of the engine turned case lids. The cuvette is engraved ’18. 1. 90′. The dial is in excellent condition, with no visible hairlines or cracks.
