Gold double sided chronometer by Edward White

A remarkable double sided English pocket chronometer with two time zones, circa 1861.
The case is 18 carat gold with engraved oak leaf pattern and a case maker’s punch mark “AN” (Adolph Nicole, entered 29 November 1854). The dial is on the front side enamel with auxiliary seconds at 9 o’clock and at the reverse side engraved, it has a silvered chapter ring and a centered wheel with engraved signs of the zodiac. The movement is a 1/2 plate movement with a spring detent escapement and a gold screw compensation balance.
