Gold open faced with moonphases and perpetual calendar

An early Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar, made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1885. Case back engraved in taille-douce with a coat of arms. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, blued steel Spade hands, with subsidiary seconds at 6, moonphases, days of the week and perpetual calendar. A nickel plated movement, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. The dial, case and movement are signed, and the dial is also numbered.
