A rare Swiss heavy Schaffhausen hunting cased pocket watch – calibre Jones – for the North American market, circa 1885. The watch showcases an 18-carat pink gold case that is beautifully florally engraved and features a monogram. It also has a gold dome and a finely carat chased band. The movement of the watch is glazed for visibility. Its enamel dial displays radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds, and blued spade hands. The watch is equipped with a 3/4 plate movement that is nickel-plated and stripe-decorated. It is signed and features a gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, engraved regulator scale, and a counterpoised lever.
